On Sunday, November 1, 2009, close to 100 alums, parents, Brothers in residence, and members of the CBA family gathered in De La Salle Hall to celebrate the annual Alumni Memorial Mass. John Marzocchi ’77, President of the Alumni Association, welcomed the crowd and Msgr. Ronald Bill’49 presided, assuring those assembled that their friends and loved ones who have passed are at peace and with God. A list of over 200 names of deceased members of the CBA family was placed on the altar during the Offertory for remembrance and printed on the program as a keepsake of the service.

Members of the Select Chorus, directed by Bob Caraher, provided lovely vocal accompaniment for the Mass, and Gabrielle George ’12 lead the group for the Responsorial Psalm, Blest Are They. Alumni Lectors included Richard Senecal ’49, John Marshall ’67, and Anthony Terranova ’56.

Following the Mass, the group enjoyed a hearty and delicious brunch, provided by parents Clare Downey, mother of Molly ’13; and Lisa Rathbun, mother of Josh ’11. Alums and family members, young and old, shared spirited stories of CBA experiences and warm, Christian fellowship. This yearly event, sponsored by the Alumni Association, will continue to be a meaningful and special tradition for years to come.
