Annual Alumni Hockey Game
On Saturday, February 9, more than twenty alums took to the ice for the 8th Annual John Downes Memorial Hockey Game held at the State Fairgrounds Coliseum. The game focused on the 20th anniversary celebration of the European Hockey Tour team of 1987-1988. Representing the team from that year were Vini Christian ’91, Reid Heiser ’89, John Koch ’88, and Robbie Windhausen ’89. Coaches Michael Gagliardi and Kevin Conroy were in attendance as well.

Real-life “brother” players included Reid Heiser’s brother, Travis ’86; John Koch’s brother, Dan ’81; and the Downes brothers: Tim ’80, Tom ’81 and Dan ’91. Travelling the farthest to join the skate was Travis Heiser, from Houston, Texas.
