Students filled out required paperwork, received their locker assignments, attended class meetings, took pictures for the yearbook and gathered in front of the Grotto for a prayer service on the second day of orientation on Friday.
In addition, students were treated to guest speakers, Dr. Nanavati and Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Cali.
Dr. Nanavati, whose son Shivam is a sophomore at CBA, addressed the topics of mental health and anxiety. This talk was a follow-up to student data that was collected through the healthy choices survey in 2016-17, where students identified mental health and anxiety as the topics that they would like further education on.
Cali discussed the dangers of social media and the internet.
At the conclusion of the day, students returned to homeroom to view a video (see below) that was created for CBA’s twin school, the Child Discovery Center in Kenya.
The first full day of classes is on Monday, Sept. 11. For additional photos, like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cbasyracuse/
