Seventh Graders Experience 19th Century Living
Comments : 0
The seventh grade class took their annual fall field trip to Genesee Country Village in Mumford, NY on Tuesday.
The students experienced a living, working 19th century country village complete with over 40 furnished buildings ranging from a pioneer homestead to a grand octagon house. They learned what life was like for a child in the 19th century.
Students participated in chores and games that were part of a child’s life. They also visited the schoolhouse and the potter shop to see pottery in the making.
The trip also served as an opportunity to meet new friends and bond as the class of 2023.
