A Busy Weekend In Store For CBA Athletics

Junior Mikayla Santulli and the girls tennis team have their final match of the regular season on Tuesday.

This weekend is a busy and exciting one for CBA athletic teams.   Seventeen of eighteen fall sports teams will be in action, with the only exception, the girls tennis team, finishing their regular season on Tuesday.  Here is the schedule for the varsity teams over the next days.

Friday, Sept. 22

The boys golf team will play Homer at 3:30 p.m. at Cortland Country Club.

The girls swim team will travel to Oswego High School for a 5:00 p.m. meet.

The football team and cheerleaders travel to Fayetteville Manlius for a 7:00 p.m. contest.  

Saturday, Sept. 23

The boys and girls cross country teams will be competing in the Baldwinsville Invitational at Durgee Junior High.  First race is at 9:00 a.m.

The boys and girls soccer teams will host Fayetteville Manlius in the annual “Red Out” contests at Alibrandi Stadium.  The boys game is at 1:00 p.m., girls at 3:00.  There is no admission charge but donations will be gratefully accepted at the door, with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association.

Tuesday Sept.  26

The girls varsity tennis team will attempt to complete and undefeated regular season when they travel to Marcellus for a 4:30 p.m. match.
