Andrew Fraiser ’10 was recently awarded a college scholarship from the CNY Chapter of the Credit Union Association of New York. The credit union awarded $2,000 in scholarship funds to three Central New York high school seniors for the 2010-11academic year. Recipients must be members of the Empower Federal Credit Union or Syracuse Fire Department Federal Credit Union and were selected based on outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.
“We are very pleased to award these scholarships to our hard-working young members,” said Kelly Sherman, chapter treasurer. “It proves the ‘people helping people’ philosophy of the credit union movement is alive and well here in Central New York.”
Frasier is the son of Timothy and Marianne Frasier of Syracuse. He plans to attend St. Joseph’s University (PA) in the fall to study physics.
