
CBA 8th Graders Celebrates Middle School Completion, Launch Rockets
As the school year draws to a close, the 8th grade class at Christian Brothers Academy celebrated the hard work and fun times of their middle school years with sports, games and music at the 8th Grade Picnic, held May 28, 2010, at Pratt’s Falls State Park.

As part of the activities, 8th graders were challenged to build a rocket from a two-liter soda bottle and power it with water or air pressure. There were 57 entries, and awards were given for highest altitude achieved and longest flight time. Mike Jorgensen won for highest altitude, while Sarah Martuscello achieved longest flight time.

On Thursday, June 3, 8th graders and their families gathered in the Lynch Gymnasium for a closing Liturgy celebrated by Fr. Richard Prior. Music, readings, and prayers were selected and performed by members of the class of 2014.
