
CBA Awards Scholarships
Students accepted into the Christian Brothers Academy Class of 2017 gathered at the school with family and friends for CBAs Accepted Student Night on January 17, 2011. Principal Brother Joseph Jozwiak, FSC, and Admissions Director Holly Dowd welcomed the sixth graders, who came from over 35 Catholic, public and private schools in Central New York. CBA students Vincent Russo 11 and Anne OBrien 15 gave the audience first-hand accounts of the CBA student experience, and all were treated to a performance by the CBA Jazz Ensemble.

Eight students were recognized as CBA Academic Scholars, each receiving a scholarship based on outstanding entrance exam results and an excellent academic record. Scholarship winners in attendance were:

“We are pleased to welcome such a vibrant group to the Class of 17 at Christian Brothers Academy, and we congratulate our Academic Scholarship recipients on their outstanding achievement,” said Jozwiak. “The students gathered here tonight have the opportunity to become a part of more than 100 years of academic excellence in the Lasallian tradition, and we look forward to seeing them when the next school year begins at CBA in September.”
