unknownIt’s been an exciting weekend for athletics, as CBA won three Sectional team and six individual titles.

The championship weekend kicked off with the girls swimming and diving team defeating perennial powerhouse Skaneateles on Friday, to earn the first Sectional title in swimming and diving for CBA in many years. Sam Lanzafame won the Section III Diving Championship, while swimmers Tessa Queri, Julia Torell, Katelyn Wendt, Lauren Kelly and Darien Tompkins all won Sectional Championships in either individual or relay events.

The girls cross country team won the school’s first-ever Sectional Championship in the sport on Saturday. The team is currently ranked No. 2 in the state in Class C. On the boy’s side, Dominic Morganti won the individual Class C Sectional title in cross country. Morganti is ranked in the top 3 in New York State Class C and will be running for the state title next weekend at Chenango Forks State Park, along with the girls cross country team.

The Brothers will face Binghamton at 6:00 p.m. at Cicero-North Syracuse High School this Saturday.
