
CBA Recognizes 2012 Purple & Gold Recipients
Christian Brothers Academy recognized Mr. Edward Barno and Mr. Mark Carroll 74 as recipients of the 2012 Purple and Gold Award on Saturday, March 24, 2012 prior to CBAs Annual Lasallian Dinner and Auction.
The Purple and Gold Award, presented annually, is a distinction given to only the most dedicated CBA alumni, faculty, and key individuals who have helped the institution prosper.
Mr. Barno has been a board member of the CBA Board of Trustees since the late 90s and served as Chairman from 2007-2010. His contributions to CBA during his tenure as Board Chair led to the completion of a comprehensive capital campaign which raised $11 million and funded major improvements at the campus including a renovated stadium, two turf fields and significant growth to the schools endowment.

As a member of the graduating class of 1974, Mr. Carroll served as President of the CBA Alumni Association and member of the Board of Trustees from 1998-2001. In addition, he has organized the CBA Alumni Golf Tournament from its inception 16 years ago and has volunteered as class agent for his class which has included annual support of the alumni Phon-a-thon. He is currently a Partner at Evans and Bennett CPA firm.
