Two students from Christian Brothers Academy placed at the Syracuse/Onondaga NAACP ACT-SO awards ceremony at the Syracuse Stage on Sunday, April 1, 2012. ACT-SO stands for Afro-Academic, Cultural and Technological and Scientific Olympics. Students compete in an array of categories covering the arts and sciences. ACT-SO provides African-American students with mentors, guidance, and potential scholarships.
Jasmine Sims 13 (Liverpool) placed second in the vocal/contemporary category. Jamaris Mitchell 14 (Syracuse) placed third in the dance category.
