On April 8, 2011, CBA peer ministers from the Office of Community Outreach visited St. Vincent de Paul Day Care Center in Syracuse to treat the children to an Easter party. In addition to an Easter egg hunt, goodies, and games, the little ones also enjoyed a visit from the Easter bunny (Jack Glover 12 – Syracuse).
CBA peer ministers who participated were Emily Baskin 12, Homer Davis 12, Riley Dixon 11, Tully Dugas 11, Glover, Ben Hogan 11, Nora Hakizimana 12, Jasmine Harrell 11, Olivia Harrison 11, Ellie Kelly 12, Sam Kotlove 12, Aaron Morgan 12, Molly OBrien 12, Samantha Peltz 11, Joe Pollichemi 11, Sophie Racciatti 11, Kristen Ranallo 11, Jack Reff 12, Brendan Smith 12, and Dan Zimmerman 12.
One of four offices of CBAs Peer Ministry volunteers, Community Outreach coordinates drives, fundraisers and service opportunities for students. Other offices include Spiritual Life, which plans and participates in school liturgies, prayer services and spiritual activities; Christian Formation, which leads and plans class retreats and community building activities; and Social Justice, which educates the school community about social justice issues. CBAs Peer Ministry includes 83 junior and senior volunteers.
