Christian Brothers Academy took 2^nd place from a field of 200 schools at The Rite Aid Drug Quiz State Competition, held May 16, 2011, at the Doubletree Hotel, E. Syracuse. Led by faculty coordinator Val Stedman, CBA team members included Tom Benz ’15, Josh Brown ’15, Katrina Drury ’15, Junghye Kim ’15, Julie McInvale ’15, Hannah Morris ’15, and Daniel O’Connor ’15. Luke Brown ’13 served as a peer advisor to the team.

The Rite Aid Drug Quiz is a state-wide competition for students in grades five through eight that aims to increase awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. While preparing for competition, students gain knowledge, skills and self-confidence to make safe and healthy choices.
