Eighth graders Nicholas Bremerman, Nick Evans, Christina Falasco, and Gehrig Snyder will represent CBA in the next round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee this Saturday, Jan. 13 at Onondaga Community College.
The four students advance after winning CBA’s annual Spelling Bee for seventh and eighth graders held in December.
The students will compete in the written Regional Competition this Saturday. The top 30 spellers from Saturday will then advance to the oral Regional Competition, which will be held on Feb. 10 at WCNY Studios. The winner there will move on to the National Bee in Washington in May.
Two years ago, Lizzie Lucas ’20 represented the Syracuse region, by advancing to the finals of the National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC.
