Q: What out of school hobbies do you take part in? And, how did you become interested in these?
A: “Outside of school, I love reading, knitting, and watching movies. My mom was a huge reader; she always took us to the library every week when we were kids. It was something we all did together.”
Q: What do you most look forward to in your workday?
A: “Definitely interacting with kids. I love hearing what my students have to say, and I love hearing about their daily lives as opposed to just strictly classroom material.”
Q: If you were not a teacher, what would you be?
A: “Well, I used to work in advertising and public relations. I’d either go back to that or I’d just become a famous novelist- if I ever actually wrote a book, that is.”
Q: Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
A: “I am inspired by anyone who has ever done the right thing, like Mother Teresa and Sister Marianne Cope, who I did not even know much about until I started working here. Her work with lepers is truly amazing.”
Q: If you could change any one thing about the world, what would it be?
A: “I would like to say I’d change the fact that people judge others far too quickly, especially people from other cultures.”
Q: If you were a color, which color would you be?
A: “Yellow because it’s sunny and reminds me of daffodils. It’s a happy color.”
