In February 2011, CBA student Mitchell Bower 12 spent six days in Washington, DC, participating in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Homeland Security and National Defense. Bower was joined by over 400 students from all over the U.S. for an inside look at career opportunity available in the field, as well as the chance to interact with highly-regarded, senior civilian policy makers and military officers. During the program, students took part in national security strategy sessions that developed teamwork skills, as well as crisis decision-making processes that stressed critical thinking, public speaking and leadership skills.
