Students in religion classes received ashes as part of Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent, the season of preparation for Christ’s Resurrection on Easter Sunday. A short presentation, which discussed the importance of the Lenten season, a season of penance, reflection and fasting, was given in each class. Peer Ministers assisted Margaret Perkins, Director of Campus Ministry with the presentation and the distribution of ashes.
