Merry Christmas And Happy New Year!!!
Within the halls of the school, and out and about in the community, CBA students have certainly been in the holiday spirit.
Peer Ministers in Community Outreach hosted a Christmas cookie party for students at Seymour Elementary on Thursday, Dec. 12. Peer Ministers helped the students decorate their cookies with their favorite icing and sprinkles.
The mixed chorus teamed up with CBA alum Bob Halligan ’71 and his “Christmas From Dublin” musical performance on Dec. 14 at the Palace Theatre. The mixed chorus performed on Bridge Street on Newschannel 9 to preview the show: “Christmas From Dublin”
Each homeroom purchased clothes and toys for children at St. Vincent de Paul Day Care. Peer Ministers colored with the children, played games and assisted Santa (Ryan Mackenzie) in handing out the gifts on Dec. 17.
On Dec. 19, both the choral and band Christmas concerts were held.
In addition, students volunteered at St. Lucy’s and the Samaritan Center during the holiday season.
The student body, faculty and staff dressed in their favorite holiday sweaters, wore Santa caps and reindeer antlers on Friday to school. The junior and senior high chorus and bands, the jazz band and orchestra treated everyone to some holiday music at an assembly in the morning. Santa Claus (Sam Johnston) also made an appearance, as senior Sophie Schultz recited the kneeling Santa prayer.
