Eighteen delegates from the CBA Model United Nations Club attended the Upper Mohawk Valley MUN Conference, held at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica recently.

The theme for this day long conference was Human Rights – Social Justice and Injustice.  Twelve schools attended and over 230 high school students participated in this event.  Students researched their assigned country’s point of view on topics which related either to General Assembly Plenary, Disarmament and Security Committee, Legal Political, Economic and Social Council Plenary, World Health Organization, UN Women, Historical Crisis Simulation, or Security Council.

Many of the CBA delegates received recognition within their committees for outstanding contributions toward resolutions.  The next conference will be held at Syracuse University in January.
