Mothers and grandmothers gathered with their sons and grandsons at Christian Brothers Academy on December 5, 2010, for the schools annual Mother/Son Communion Breakfast, a CBA tradition during the holiday season coordinated by the school's Parents' Club.
The morning began with a Mass presided over by Rev. John McGraw, which included readings by mothers and their sons, as well as musical selections by the CBA chorus. During the offertory, CBA student Tim Ehrhart 12 performed an original song written about his mothers dedication, and Tom Benz 15 performed Sonata in C on the piano during Communion. The Mass concluded with a special blessing for mothers and another for sons.
Later, the group enjoyed breakfast while CBA Parents Club President Kathleen OConnor addressed the group about her own experiences in raising her four children, including three sons, Jack 13, Danny 15 and Tommy 16, who currently attend CBA.
