Seniors Daniel O’Connor and Joshua Popp have been named Finalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

O’Connor and Popp were among the Semifinalists named in September 2014 and have met all requirements to advance to Finalist standing in the competition.

The selection of 8,000 Merit Scholarships winners from the group of more than 15,000 Finalists is now in progress. Winners will be notified in the coming months.

O’Connor, the son of John and Kathleen O’Connor of Manlius, has been accepted to University of Notre Dame, Georgetown University and University of Chicago. He is still waiting to hear from some other schools, and has not made a decision as to where he will be attending college next fall.  Popp, the son of Thomas and Patty Popp of Syracuse, was accepted Early Decision to Cornell University and will be attending there next fall.
