During June, Christian Brothers Academy peer ministers participated in “Gardens in a Bucket,” an initiative of the Food Bank of Central New York. The project distributed 930 tomato plants and 75 salad boxes to needy families and individuals in an effort to fight hunger and improve produce consumption. Volunteers filled buckets with soil and plants before distribution through food banks in Onondaga and Cortland counties throughout the month.
