Senior JT Romagnoli claimed his third sectional wrestling title at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College last weekend and advances to the state championship, which will be held in Albany on Friday.

Romagnoli, who wrestles in the 145-pound weight class, defeated ESM's Kyle Parella, 10-4 in the finals.  This is Romagnoli's third trip to the state championship. He enters the state tournament with a career record of 141-38 and looks to place in the top six to finish his career.

Romagnoli will attend the University of Delaware next fall and will play lacrosse.

Junior Mark Friske also finished off a great year. Friske who was a No. 1 seed entering sectionals, lost to Indian River freshman Sonny McPherson in the title match. Friske finishes with a 31-6 record on the year.
