Harvard bound Marisa Romeo joined the 1,000 point club last Friday as CBA defeated East Syracuse Minoa, 67-54.

Romeo, who entered the game five points shy of the milestone, scored a season-high 29 points in the victory. Romeo’s milestone bucket came on a free throw. The game stopped and her teammates rushed the court to congratulate her, as she received a standing ovation from the CBA fans.

“I was nervous because the other team knew I was going for it, but I kind of forgot about it once I stepped on the court,” Romeo told thePost-Standard.
