This year’s high school fall drama production is called, “A Tale Told by an Idiot,” and will be presented Nov. 6-8 at 7:00 p.m. in the CBA Chapel.

Unlike previous years, the fall drama is not one single story. Instead, it centers on the themes of love and death and pulls scenes from various Shakespearean works. Twenty students make up this year’s cast. The plays included are Romeo and Juliet, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Othello, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Taming of the Shrew.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from director and faculty member, Eugene Moretti.

Let’s get to know some of the cast.

Kyle Huynh, the only freshman in the cast, plays Iago in Othello. He is in French Club and plans to perform in the spring musical.

Q: What fictional character do you think you’re most like?

A: The Doctor, from Doctor Who. We’re both very clever and find unusual ways to get out of situations.

Samantha Burnett, a sophomore, plays Desdemona in Othello. Aside from the fall drama, she is also a cheerleader. In the spring, she plans on participating in the musical and playing lacrosse.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?

A: When I have free time, I like to watch shows on Netflix. My favorite show to watch is Criminal Minds.

Brennan Carmen, a junior, plays the role of Everyman. He serves as a narrator, introducing each scene and giving background on various plays in the show. Brennan is a member of Peer Ministry, Select Chorus, Multicultural Club, and Chess Club and also plans to do the spring musical.

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

A: I want to go to Thailand. I love the food and they have good beaches. I wouldn’t want to go to one of the big cities, though, they’re too crowded.

Senior Molly Reff plays Kate from Taming of the Shrew. She is a member of Select Chorus, the Peer Ministry Executive Board, National Honor society, and has participated in the spring musical every year. Outside of school, she works at the Brooklyn Pickle and takes voice lessons.

Q: If you were stranded on an island, what three items would you bring with you?

A: My Creative Writing journal, a Swiss Army Knife, and an iPod with a playlist of all my Dave Matthews Band songs.
