CBA Girls Varsity softball pitching standout Jordan Sheridan 13 has been selected to compete with the Ohio Futures All-Star team as part of the 2011 Adidas Futures National Tournament, a program designed to bring the nations top uncommitted fast pitch athletes together for an outstanding showcase for college softball coaches. The tournament will be held at an impressive softball tournament facility in St. George, Utah, in July 2011.
Despite overcoming injury and recovering from surgery last year, Sheridan was chosen as a pitcher, a position at which she excels on her CBA team. Due to surgery, she was not able to participate in tryouts but submitted a video to the judges which portrayed her abilities and softball experience. Recommendation letters from CBA Coach Greg Jewett as well as coaches against which Jordan and the CBA softball team have competed presented an outstanding candidate for the All Star Team. The selection committee agrees and added Jordan Sheridan's name to the roster.
Members of the Sheridan family will travel to Utah this summer so that Jordan can participate in this high profile tournament.
