Senior Cole Speidel became the latest Brother to sign a National Letter of Intent to attend a Division I school.

Joined by his mother Ann Fondi, students faculty and staff, Speidel declared at a press conference on Wednesday, February 6 that he would swim at the University of Penn next fall. Speidel is the 14th student-athlete in the Class of 2013 who will attend a Division I school.

“I would like to thank Coach (Bob Bewley), my teammates and my family,” Speidel said. “This is a dream come true.”

Speidel has been on the CBA swim team since the seventh grade. He holds the school record in the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.58) and 100 butterfly (52.41). The Brothers recently captured the OHSL title with a victory over Mexico.
