
Sportelli First to Receive ZONTA Award twice
On May 1, 2011, Natalie Sportelli 11 received the Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award for her volunteer and community service efforts at the Syracuse Zonta Foundations 11th Annual Crystal Award Celebration. She is the first student in the history of the award to receive it twice, having also been presented with the award in 2010. The award is given to a high school junior or senior who performs outstanding service and displays humanitarian principles by word and deed. Sportelli was selected for a variety of volunteer efforts, including a recent mission trip to El Salvador, involvement in CBAs Peer Ministry and National Honor Society volunteer efforts, and host of Teen Talk radio.
