Student Phonathon Raises Over $6,200 For School’s Annual Fund
Fourteen enthusiastic and persuasive CBA seniors joined together after school on Monday, March 2 to make calls to generous and loyal donors on behalf of the 2015 Annual Fund.
Fueled by Tully’s Tenders and chocolate candy, these hard working students took to the phones with professionalism, energy and an impressive level of maturity. During their conversations, they clearly explained how tuition revenue does not fully cover the costs of educating a student at CBA and that the school depends on donations to the Annual Fund to support operating costs, teachers’ salaries, and financial aid, stressing the compelling statistic that this year, more than $1 million has been awarded to almost half of our students.
The student callers were hugely successful…making close to 300 calls in less than two hours, and amassing gifts and pledges totaling more than $6200.
A second session of calls was scheduled for March 3, but was cancelled due to inclement weather. The second student phonathon will be rescheduled in the next month.
The students who took time out of their very busy schedules to participate in this most important effort were: Bridget Frontale, Annie Caputo, Ellie Baumgartner, Ariana Cavallaro, Serena Schmitt, Matt Burns, Camillo Spinoso, Anthony Santaro, Nick Capozzi, Tom Pirro, Tom Benz, Trisha Maini, Anna Kambhampaty, and Elizabeth Sasser.
