Students Attend Drama Conference
Nineteen CBA students represented the school at the New York State Theatre Education Association’s annual high school drama conference at the Villa Roma Resort and Hotel in Callicoon, NY recently.
The New York State Theatre Education Association is a statewide organization of theatre educators that promotes and supports theatre education for students in grades pre-K through 12.
The conference created an opportunity for approximately 800 high school students from all over New York State to come together for a full weekend of learning and peer interaction. The students attended workshops given by colleges, universities and other theatre professionals, as well as networking with one another and experiencing a variety of performances throughout the conference.
For the Student Conference delegates, this conference is a highlight of their high school career. Over 100 workshops were offered, giving students expert instruction in technical theatre, acting, dance and voice.
Students attending the conference included: Molly Reff, Marielle LaBerge, Katie Rivito, Camille Cady-McCrae, Katie Willard, Lauren DeLorenzo, Julie Assaf, Dana Tuohey, Anna Do, Claire Bailey, Rose Collins, Bella Corieri, Abby Capella, Molly Murphy, Brian Jordan, Josh Lacey, Joe Rupprecht, Zach Grzelka and Matthew Stedman.
