On Saturday, Oct. 3 the Christian Brothers Academy boys and girls varsity and boys junior varsity soccer teams hosted Fayetteville-Manlius in a “Red Out” game.
“Red Out” was in honor of Lauren Papaleo, who went to Fayetteville-Manlius and is CBA boys varsity soccer coach Joe Papaleo’s daughter. Lauren passed away in August of 2012.
Both the CBA boys and girls team wore red uniforms and fans attending the game also wore the colors, which represent the American Heart Association.
The event raised approximately $2,600. Proceeds from the games went to the American Heart Association in honor of Lauren.
