On Saturday, Oct. 5 the boys and girls varsity and junior varsity soccer teams hosted Fayetteville-Manlius in a “Red Out” game.
“Red Out” was in honor of Lauren Papaleo, who went to Fayetteville-Manlius and is CBA boys varsity soccer coach Joe Papaleo’s daughter. Lauren passed away last August. Both schools wore red and white and fans attending the game also wore the colors, which represent the American Heart Association. Proceeds from the games went to the American Heart Association in honor of Lauren.
In varsity action, the boys upset the state-ranked Hornets, 3-1. The girls varsity lost, 3-0.
Prior to the game, senior Sam Lim gave a riveting rendition of the national anthem. Here it is: http://picosong.com/yriD/
