Weeklong Celebration As CBA Observes National Catholic Schools Week

Seventh and eighth graders join Sister Suzanne Dunn, Assistant Principal for the Junior High and Principal Matt Keough, for cake during their lunch period on Friday.
National Catholic Schools Week culminated on Friday as the entire student body was treated to cake, compliments of the Parents Club.
This year’s National Catholic Schools Week theme was “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”
CBA celebrated the week with a variety of activities. Each morning and afternoon prayer focused on the National Catholic School’s Week theme. On Monday, there was a school-wide celebration of Mass and an afterschool service opportunity at the Samaritan Center. Peer Ministry hosted a Service Fair on Thursday, where students could learn about a variety of service opportunities throughout the Syracuse Community.
And on Friday, there was First Friday Mass prior to school and a Multi-Cultural Day Assembly, celebrating the diversity and inclusivity of Catholic education by recognizing the beauty that each cultural heritage brings to CBA. In addition, it was Purple and Gold Dress Down Day. Proceeds from the Dress Down Day went toward purchasing supplies to bring on service immersion trips.
