Asking For Your Input
March 08, 2024

I initiated these weekly email reflections because I have the unique blessing to witness the beauty of the Lasallian mission alive in our students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. I have sought to share stories that illustrate the transformational power of our shared Lasallian mission and how our faith exists in both the spiritual and the practical experiences of our lives.

Pope Francis has remarked that the world tends to perseverate on the one tree in the forest that has fallen while countless other trees continue to grow. The crashing tree can be loud – distracting us from the silent growth throughout the remainder of the forest. These reflections have aimed to provide anecdotes about the omnipresent “silent growth” in a world that can sometimes be overwhelmed with the intensity of the crashing tree. If we remain attentive, the presence of God is everywhere in the forest. Our Lasallian mission seeks to nourish that growth through education. I hope that these emails have helped our entire community remember that we are always and everywhere in the presence of God.

For today’s message, I want to ask for your input and insights. What areas of the school are you interested in hearing more about? What topics in Lasallian Catholic education intrigue you? What micro or macro questions will help you to better understand our shared Lasallian mission?

Please consider suggesting any topics through the following link: https://forms.gle/eJxM24s7JJVXNunP8

Thank you for the blessing that each of you are to our Lasallian family. I look forward to continuing to share stories that amplify the “silent growth” throughout our entire community! Be assured that although the falling tree in the forest can be loud in the world, you are part of a Lasallian mission that nurtures growth throughout the entire forest - touching hearts and inspiring minds.
