The year is divided into six marking periods of approximately six weeks in length. Students take midterm and final exams at the end of each semester. (Seniors with an 85 average in a subject are exempt from the final in the second semester.) The Regents Exam is the final exam in the Regents courses. The school day is divided into nine periods of 40 minutes each. CBA operates on a six-day rotating schedule and all major subjects (English, Social Studies, Math, Science and Foreign Language) meet every day.
