CBA hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Brothers Threads-a state-of-the-art student run business on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Brothers Threads, a spirit wear store, merges innovation, school pride and real-world learning in a transformative way. Developed and operated by CBA students, under faculty mentorship, Brothers Threads teaches students about the operations of a business, including leadership, product design and marketing.

"May this new venture be a place where young people grow in skill, confidence and purpose, and may it always reflect the values of faith, service and community that guide our Lasallian mission," President Matt Keough said. "This business will inspire entrepreneurial spirit. It'll develop real world skills and strengthen our community through purposeful service."

One hundred percent of the revenue from Brothers Threads goes directly to support financial assistance at CBA.

The initiative was made possible by the generous support and vision of Jack ’70 and Mary Morrison.

"You can feel the enthusiasm. You can feel the energy of the students," Morrison, who gave $300,000 for the project said. "Both Mary and I are confident this addition will make a lasting difference for CBA and its students."

"It has been an extraordinary experience," shared junior co-CEO Kyle Evans. "We have built a fantastic team of CBA's finest students, constructed a facility, and successfully started a business in under four months.

"At this point last year, I never could've imagined that we would ever be presented with an opportunity like this," Evans added. "But here we are, up and running and creating apparel that our CBA family members will wear with pride for a long time to come."
