One-hundred twenty-three students graduated from Christian Brothers Academy on June 7. Ceremonies for the Class of 2026, held at Alibrandi Stadium, included the presentation of several academic and service awards.

One hundred and twenty-three students will graduate from Christian Brothers Academy this Sunday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Alibrandi Stadium. Ceremonies for the Class of 2026 will include the presentation of several academic and service awards and diplomas. The Class of 1976, celebrating their jubilee reunion, will also be on hand to present the school with a check representing their class gift.

CBA held its annual Scholastic Honors Night at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville on April 16 to honor students who have exhibited academic excellence. During the evening, students in grades nine through 12 who achieved High Honors and Honors during the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year were recognized with certificates of achievement as parents, faculty and friends applauded their success.

Family, friends, and alumni gathered in the Dan Byrne ’70 Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 18 as Thomas Niland III ’65 and Dr. Vincent Sportelli ’71 were honored with the Alumni Association’s Purple and Gold Award.

When several Section III football teams chose to move to Tier 2 this season, opting out of competing against CBA, one local coach admitted, “It’s not the right thing to do.” His candid admission cuts to the heart of a deeper question: what values do we truly want high school athletics to embody, and are our structures effectively teaching the right lessons?
