This year’s spring musical, Anastasia will be performed March 13 & 14 and March 20 & 21 at 7:00 p.m. on the Rocklyn Stage in the Dan Byrne ’70 Performing Arts Center.

Anastasia is about a young woman trying to discover her true identity and reconnect with her past. The story begins during the fall of the Russian monarchy. A curse is placed on the Romanov family by the villainous sorcerer Rasputin, leading to the family's downfall. Years later, an orphaned young woman named Anya, who suffers from amnesia, leaves her orphanage to find out who she really is. Two con men, Dmitri and Vladimir, are searching for a girl who can pretend to be the lost princess Anastasia to claim a reward from her grandmother, the Dowager Empress. They meet Anya and realize she might actually be the real Anastasia.

The story follows Anya’s journey from Russia to Paris as she pieces together her memories, faces danger from Rasputin, and ultimately discovers her true identity.
