There is a truth at the heart of the Lasallian tradition: each young person entrusted to our care carries a dignity that is not earned but given, a dignity rooted in the presence of God.
To recognize that presence is to see with faith, to believe not only in who a young person is, but in who they are being called to become. This conviction quietly shapes the life of our school each day.
At times, when our community finds itself in the public spotlight, we are invited to give voice to that conviction more openly and more directly.
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, I submitted an op‑ed to Syracuse.com reflecting on that belief and on how it gives meaning to the challenges we face and the way we form young people at CBA.
Read the op‑ed: “The Lesson High School Athletics Were Meant to Teach.”
Let us pray for the wisdom to see as God sees, and for the courage to form young people who meet life’s challenges with faith, integrity, and compassion.
