New Jr. High House System Promotes Community

The Junior High implemented a House System this school year to provide a stronger sense of community and to support personal, social, spiritual, and academic growth.

Seventh and eighth graders had their first Monthly House Meeting recently. The students had the opportunity to meet as a full grade in the gym, share their House Crests, and participate in activities that encouraged them to get to know each other better.

It was also an opportunity for the students to serve others by holding a canned food drive to support the Assumption Church Food Pantry run by the Franciscan Friars in honor of the October 4 Feast Day of St. Francis. The students donated 982 non- perishable food items and is certainly a celebration for the Feast of St. Francis.
