Several members of CBA's Engineering Club took part in the first competition of the year held at the Museum of Science & Technology in Syracuse on Saturday, Oct. 18. The competition involved designing and constructing a catapult that was judged based upon accuracy, distance, and the team's ability to answer questions from the judges.

The following students competed on Saturday: George Smith '31; Leonard Sabirianov '30; Catherine Eng '29; Nola Harmon '29; Rayyaan Waleed '29; Abhay Shinde '29; Gabby Martin '28; Andy Truong '27 and Quinn Monsour '27.

Out of 100 teams that competed, CBA was able to take home a few awards from the weekend. Shinde and Waleed won 2nd place overall in the senior division with an excellent accuracy score. Smith won a superlative award for best team name in the Junior division ("Small but Mighty"), and Martin won the same award for the Senior division ("The Brotherchucker").

The engineering club will continue to compete at the MOST throughout the year, with the next competition involving balsa wood bridge building.
