Last evening, our Boys Tennis team defeated Liverpool to win the Section III Championship! While we celebrate this extraordinary accomplishment, we recognize a deeper truth: championships are celebrated in a moment, but they are forged over months of preparation.
As I reflected on this victory, my mind did not go first to the final point of the match. Instead, I thought back to the beginning of the school year: cool mornings greeting students arriving at CBA with racquets in hand after early-morning lessons, and late afternoons watching them leave campus for another practice, another workout, and another opportunity to improve.
Success did not begin with the championship match. It began quietly, in the choices when no one was there to applaud.
This is true not only in tennis, but in life. Our best does not suddenly appear in defining moments; it is formed slowly over time through discipline, consistency, and sacrifice. The roar of the championship is merely the echo of the silence in which our students worked all year.
The same truth holds in the classroom. A student’s performance on an exam is rarely determined in a single hour. It is the result of weeks of focus, the quiet faithfulness of nightly work, and the maturity to choose purpose over distraction long before the test arrives.
Tennis beautifully reveals this truth: championships are won point by point long before they are won match by match.

This week, we celebrate:
Andrew Arcuri, Div Bhatt, Noah Buddie, Nicholas DiBiase, Patrick O'Connor, Gabe Perez, James Piazza, Joseph Riccelli, Hunter Szatkowski, Charlie Viviano, and Chanu Yang.
Thank you to Coach Glowaki and our Boys Tennis team for reminding all of us that excellence is never accidental. It is built patiently, faithfully, and often quietly long before the moment banners are raised.
Congratulations again on a remarkable season and Section III Championship!
