Model UN Wins Outstanding Delegation Award

Sixteen CBA students participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) Conference hosted by Manlius Pebble Hill School on Oct. 28 and won The Outstanding Delegation Award for the school scoring the most points in their respective committees.

The theme for this year’s conference was Sustainable Development Goal 16. The conference was attended by 11 regional high schools and approximately 236 students participated. The CBAMUN Team is comprised of Max Lachut, Gabe Yang, Mikhail Kabunov, Declan Reed, Sophia Bayardi, Margaret Kuehner, Amari Laub, Lily Beal-Gleason, Zachariah Straight, Isabella Lance, Zach Curle, Julia Messina, Aleksei Kabunov, Joe Ricelli, Edison White, and Sully Moles.  

Individual awards were given to Max Lachut for winning the William Verbeck Award for Strategic Thinking; Mikhail Kabonuv for winning the Andrea Danial Award for Diplomacy; Sully Moles for winning the William Verbeck Award for Strategic Thinking; Declan Reed for winning the William Verbeck Award for Strategic Thinking; and Sophia Bayardi for winning the Jeffrey Mangram Award for Public Speaking.
